Miss Universe 2010- Jimena Navarrete

Jimena Navarrete, an awesome and sexy Mexican beauty, won the Miss Universe title on August 23rd at the event held at Mandalay Bay center in Las Vegas. Before she won the title, she became one of the hot sensation among people. Though she got her title now, she is not new to this modeling world. Right from the age of 15 years old, she has indulged in this arena. She walked on many ramp for various fashion events.

This 5-foot beauty made other contestants to follow her in the Miss Universe title. The runners-up were Miss Jamaica, Miss Australia, Miss Ukraine and Miss Philippines. She bagged the title among 83 contestants who all came to represent different countries.

Jimena Navarrete was born on February 22 in the year 1988 at Guafalajara in Mexico.

Earlier, she has won the titles like the Nuestra Belleza Jalisco and the Nuestra Belleza México as well. Now she has became the second consecutive winner from Jalisco following Karla Carrillo.

Aishwarya rai and Kate winslet for Longines Commercial AD

British actress Kate Winslet and Indian actress Aishwarya rai together with Taiwanese Model Chi-Ling lin acted a commercial film for Swiss Watchmaker Logines DolceVita collection. The ad film shooting was held on 20th of July in Rome at Italy.

The film was based on the 1960 drama La Dolce Vita it means "the good life" in Italian language.

In this ad film, most entertaining celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood acted together for the first time. Both Aishwarya rai and Kate Winslet are famous not only for their glamor but also for their acting skills they possess. Kate even won an Oscar Award recently.

Aishwarya rai who was the ex-miss world has been brand's spokesmodel and brand ambassador for last four years. Along with her, titanic beauty joined the bandwagaon to endorse for the product.

Rupee has a Symbol

The rupee gets its new symbol and will soon join in the list with other currencies like US dollor, the Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen. Rupee will definitely have its distinct quality after this.

The unique symbol--a blend of the Devanagri 'Ra' and Roman 'R' -- is designed by Bombay IIT post-graduate D Udaya Kumar, was approved by the Cabinet on Thursday.

An All India contest was made for the design of Rupee Symbol. Five designs had been shortlisted by the government. These signs are easy to write and are specially designed to appeal to Indian and international community.

Kumar's concept, as sources said, is based on the Tricolour and "arithmetic equivalence". The White space between two horizontal lines indicates the mark of the national flag with the Ashoka Chakara and th two bold lines represents "equal to" indicating balance in the economy.

The Basic aim of the new symbol is to provide the Indian rupee international recognition as the country's economy exerts more influence in the global space. Moreover this symbol will also serve as unique when comparing to other countries using Rupee as their money.
